In the world we live in there are those who take pleasure in ruining other people's lives - such as those who develop computer viruses. We are forced to protect ourselves from these villains and they do their best to sidestep our efforts.
One of the latest ploys utilized by these dastardly hoodlums is to tell you that your email account will be disabled with the text below,
"Your e-mail account will be disabled because of improper using in next three days, if you are still wishing to use it, please, resign your account information.
For more information see the attached file."
Don't do it!!
To further our protection efforts, Net-Capacity has made it possible for all of our hosting customers to have virus protection on the email server itself. The protection is by Symantec and scans and cleanses viruses before they are ever sent to your computer. This is not a substitute for virus protection on your computer! You must still have that protection as well especially if you accept files from others. Net-Capacity President, George Greenway, said, "I will tell you that I have been testing it for the past couple of months and it has caught every virus sent to any of my accounts. You still get notification of the email (in case it is from a friend) but the virus has been cleansed."
